Description: Produkten visar morfologiskt framträdande spår i terrängen av inträffade jordskred på land och havsbottnen samt raviner i lösa jordlager. Tillsammans med jordartskartor och höjddata kan informationen användas för en översiktlig bedömning av skredkänslighet och markstabilitet. De flesta skred har skett i lerjord, men det förekommer även spår av skred i sandjordar, inte minst i de norrländska älvdalarna, samt i moränjordar. I de fall skred har inträffat i sandjord finns ofta silt- eller lerlager under ett ytligt sandlager. Spår av jordras har också inkluderats i den mån de har gett upphov till former liknande jordskredsspår.

Description: Analysen utförd 2016-03. Produkten ger översiktlig information om förutsättningar för jordskred i finjord. Den bygger på en beräkningsalgoritm (Tryggvason, 2014) som utifrån jordartstyp (enligt SGUs produkt Jordarter 1:25 000 - 1:100 000), terrängmodell (Lantmäteriets nationella höjdmodell) och kritisk lutning (1:10) definierar markområden med finkornig jordart som har förutsättningar för jordskred. Utöver detta har informationen bearbetats ytterligare i GIS-miljö för att minimera systematiska fel. Sådana områden kallas i denna produkt aktsamhetsområden. Produkten är tänkt att användas i tidigt planeringsskede för att identifiera områden där skredfara kan förekomma och där ytterligare bedömningar/undersökningar kan behöva göras. Ett lerlagers skredbenägenhet beror inte bara på marklutning, utan även på dess tekniska egenskaper. Metoden tar inte hänsyn till detta utan betraktar alla jordlager av viss jordartstyp (främst silt och lera) som skredkänsliga vid viss marklutning. Detta innebär att inom många av de identifierade aktsamhetsområdena är lerornas egenskaper sådana att någon risk för skred knappast föreligger, trots att lutningskriteriet är uppfyllt. Som komplement till modelleringen baserad på lutningsanalys innehåller produkten även en enklare GIS-analys i huvudsak baserad på närhet till vatten. Grundläggande geoteknisk/geologisk kompetens är nödvändig för att kunna tolka informationen på ett riktigt sätt.
